Hard brake pedal when cold / damp out

Hi everyone. I have another question about my G37x sedan that I’m hoping to get your insight on. For quite some time now, I’ve had an issue with a hard brake pedal when it’s cold out or damp out. The issue occurs when I go for the initial start in the morning or when it’s been sitting for a while If say I’ve been at work. It’s to a point where in some cases, I either have to press really hard or turn the car to accessory mode then start. Once it’s on I don’t have any brake issues when moving. If I turn the car off and come back and start it say within an hour, it works fine. The other thing is that it does not do it consistently or every time. I don’t have any leaks and the car does not pull in one direction or the other when driving. I wanted to know If anyone has experienced this in the past and if there’s anything I should look at and check? Just for reference my car is a 2010 wirh 107k miles on it. Thanks in advance for your help.

No that is normal I have a g37x also, and I replaced the brakes on mine few months ago, with a brake fluid flush. Every morning when im driving I tap the brake or press on it slowly, and it will brake really quick, and in the rain too happens to me now and then. When I owned a toyota camry it was the same story. Nothing to worry about.

Hi Said. Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. Unfortunately, in my case, when driving, the braking is perfectly fine with no issues, but it is when the car sits over night or in a parking lot for example for a few hours where it happens when I do my first initial startup.

Yes it’s the same with mine when driving and after a few brakes everything is normal but when I get in it after it sits for a while it will do the same thing you’re experience. Maybe due to the rotor and pads being cold they bite more but once you step on them and get them up to temperature they are back to normal use.
