rear rotor removal - need help ASAP!

AWD Auto ...

rear rotor is stuck ...

- parking brake released
- rear wheels up in the air on jackstands

rotor is actually free from hub (loose), but parking brake is holding it on and it won't budge ...

my problem is, the rotor won't turn for me to bring the little hole to 12 o'clock to loosen the parking brake via the little wheel. put car in Neutral, still will not turn.

help? should i just beat the snot out of it with a hammer? i don't want to damage anything, and the dust shield only gives me a small area behind the rotor to hit it anyway.

**** i know this isn't the correct forum, but i need to get this done soon and this forum is more active ...

Put the wheel back on to use as additional leverage while rotating.

Give the side of the hat a few good whacks if you are no longer using the rotors.

My buddy says, "hit it like you've got a pair" hard.

the rotors were already loose from the hub - it was just the parking brake holding them on.
