07 G35S Suspension swap Eibach on stock struts to BC Coilovers
07 G35S Suspension swap Eibach on stock struts to BC Coilovers
When I bought my G, it was sitting very low. It had an Eibach kit on staggered 235/35f, 255/35r rims and stock struts. It scraped on almost every speed bump unless going .5 mph and even then sometimes, no luck.

It was something like 25.5" to the top of the wheel well on all 4 corners. No rubbing in any well, but alot of bottoming out. I coulda just gone with better struts but I desperately wanted some height and adjustability. I chose BC Racing(bonus that their headquarteted in my home state).
In the meantime, I developed a crack in one of my rims and decided to replace all 4 in lieu of repairing and then refinishing the damaged one. I found a stupid good deal on a set of like new satin black 19" Rays Gramlights. The rims are wider than the old DC's and fit alot more flush and the tire sizes were identical in the front but a 265/30 in the rear which was a bit of a blessing given what was about to happen with the suspension.

I found a like new BC BR kit from a 370z and bolted it on, not knowing what max height I could get out of it. It was a good deal, too good to pass up, so I didn't blink. Once settled, the rears came in at a whopping 24.5 but I was able to get the fronts up to 26. But get this, I actually bottomed out on speed bumps way less, even though I lost an inch. Way better suspension. I have the 30 way adjustable damper set at 15 or 16, perfect to get a baseline.
The thin tires were still a nuisance. So I had to get the rear end of the ground. A quick call to BC Racing in Orlando( Thanks Al), and I had a set of 255mm 8k springs to replace the 210mm springs that came with the 370z kit. Replacing the springs was a snap and now, she was ready for a new pair of soles. I wrapped the 19" Rays with Pirelli Pzero 245/40 in the front and 265/40 in the rear. She's sitting at 27" to the fender well in the rear and 26.25" in the front. She rides like a dream, and can even get a little bit softer or harder if I need her to. This was by far the best investment in my G yet. It's a night and day difference and worth every penny and bead of sweat.

And just to add a little flavor for others to enjoy while watching me drive by, I put on a clean set of clear lens taillights in a black housing.

Only thing left to do is put a new front bumper on her(thinking Duraflex TS1) and wrap her in a satin sheet of undetermined color. Any suggestions? Lol

Nice to see your G is back to a better height for daily driving and good to hear BC set you up w/ the proper spring sets. Not sure what to say about the clear tails though, but hey, if you like them then who cares right
As far as a wrap color, I like this

I know the tails aren't for everyone, I just wanted to get rid of the big red blob of the OEM taillight. That blue is fn gorgeous.... And my favorite color to begin with. It would look sick with the black f rims too. Thx
Not to hijack, but what's the stability of body wrap? Color fastness and durability and adhesion? I want to be the first on my block with a yellow sedan but hopefully not at paint prices.
A well installed wrap w/ quality vinyl will hold up well for many years and is pretty durable. As far as color fast, not sure if some colors are more prone to fading if exposed to extended sunlight on a daily basis, but that would be something to ask one of the pros or manufacturers. Adhesion won't be a problem w/ a quality install, and as far as how long can you leave it adhered before it becomes a problem w/ the paint coat, that is another good question for the pros or vendors of the product.
The only reason I picked the TS1 from duraflex is because its almost identical to the OEM sport bumper with the lip and it saves me about 300$. Somewhere prior to me, the front end must've been damaged and they installed a regular G front bumper... I do want the original sport look and the 10+ conversion just doesn't make sense financially for me.
