New Pads or New Rotors?
BTW, I hate to sound like a broken record...but for those not aware, Centric is the parent company of StopTech.
I'd give a look at the latest Hawk HPS 5.0 pads, be sure they're the 5.0s, get excellent reviews for daily driving. Stoptech Pads have great bite but dust a bunch and are more prone to uneven pad deposits. I still have them on my rear brakes and they've been good but hard to argue w/ the great feedback I'm hearing on those 5.0s.
So I just decided to order the Stoptech Slotted Rotors with Posi Quiet pads. Came out to $435 shipped on JCWhitney.com with their discount code. I'll see how it goes, if needed I will upgrade to Hawk 5.0's but I think it should be fine with the Posi Quiets. Will update once installed with pictures!
So after all the advice to grab the Hawks you grabbed the cheapy's anyway lol.
jkjk, they should be more than suffice for daily driving and the occasional aggressive braking but with your "spirited" foot I would still upgrade when you get the chance.

Hope I'm not polluting this thread with my own question but its right on track with the subject..
Ever since I got my wheels I've wanted to grab some better rotors for looks/performance and have come across some size options. I'm fairly certain I'm going to go with Baer Decela rotors unless they are just major overkill and the HPS 5.0 but have come across some size options. The front rotors are offered in 12.6, 13 and 14 inches and all say are bolt on. Obviously the bigger the better but are they really a bolt on affair if the caliper isn't being moved out at all? What's the stock rotor size?
Edit: I found the stock S rotors are 14" so I'll go with those,. Man, these are huge brakes for factory! But, anyone have any insight on rotors? Are the Baers overkill and just grab some stoptech's or...?

Unless you're planning regular track sessions the Stoptechs, Centric Premiums, etc are more than adequate. And yes, you only have one option on rotor size if you don't change calipers. The 322mm rotors must be replaced w/ 322mm rotors, 355s w/ 355s etc, otherwise you'd have to make a custom bracket to move you caliper, and some of the rotors have different thickness too.
I just hate having to spend so much on one thing. You know that saying "don't spend it all in one place" haha. I am pretty sure these posi quiets should be fine. I only brake hard very quickly, for a short amount of time. It won't be under any extreme pressure for long period of time like say on a track.

I went to with the stoptech slotted only because I like the look of them and I have read lots of reviews saying they are hard to warp which was my main reason to upgrade from the factory ones. I think you would be more than happy with some Stoptech Drilled and Slotted paired with Stoptech Performance Pads.

If anyone wants some cheap but good rotors, Get R1 Concepts E line. They take centric blanks and drill and slot them in house. Couple of my friends run them and say they hold up fine. With their promo code right now the price is $299 for all 4 sides drilled and slotted. Then just get Hawk 5.0 Pads to pair up with them.

Thanks for recommendation! Just want to clarify that we can get you Centric rotors since we are a distributor for the company but we do not take Centric blanks and re-brand them if that's what you were referring to. We actually manufacture and machine our own rotors which we offer in my E-line and Premier Series rotors. If you have any questions, feel free to PM or email me at Kevin@r1concepts.com and I'll do my best to help you out.

Would you mind sharing the coupon code you used? I'm actually in the exact same boat as you as I need to swap out my pads and rotors this summer as well and am looking to get the Posi Quiet pads and more than likely the Stoptech slotted rotors too.
Also when the package arrives, would you mind reporting back regarding the packaging and whether or not the items were packaged properly? I've had a bad experience when ordering online pads/rotors online as they were not packaged properly and am trying to find a place that will do it right so the items don't arrive damaged.
Thanks a bunch xnick101!
