I recently had my mechanic install (rear-only) Tein Basis CO's and (rear-only) SPC Camber Arms. Installation took 2.5 hours, but then another 1.5 hours of d1cking around with pre-alignment considerations. (up, down, up, down, tires on off, on off, etc.) All told, he nicked me for 4 hours labor, at $85/hr.

If his shop had an alignment machine... but it doesn't.

I have zero problems paying for expertise, and my mechanic is awesome. Worth every penny.

What Rochester notes is the hard truth.

Not only are these autos and mods not inexpensive (not to mention discretionary), in my case it's my primary family transport. It HAS to be right.

Mine is primarily a low-mileage toy. However, in a pinch, it does get relied upon as family transportation. And it gets snow tires every winter. If I had a 3-car garage, then I most certainly would own a dedicated toy. But then in that case, it wouldn't be a G Sedan, so.....

Basically, you mod the car you have. And if you're lucky, you purchase the car you plan to mod. And (!) you try to do this without p1ssing off the wife.
