I talked with an autoshop who said that they could install the TEIN h.tech lowering springs that are compatible with stock shocks and will not mess them up.
Is it true that this kit would not damage the stock shocks? Thanks!

All lowering springs will take their toll on the OEM shocks' lifespan but the H Techs are a milder drop spring so they won't be as severe as a deeper drop setup. The amount the lifespan will decrease is dependent on too many variables to say how soon you'd have to replace the shocks, but you should get decent mileage on them if your G is pretty new and not a lot of miles on it already. Might also consider the Tein Basis coilover setup, it's just over $600 but is complete, all you have to use is your OEM shock hats in front. TEIN.com: STREET BASIS - PRODUCTS
