True type coilovers safe to run?

I see a lot of people running stance true type coilovers on the 350/370z, g35 and our cars. Is it safe to add stress to the shock tower? I have read multiple times that people have had no issues, but also have seen people weary of running them. I have been unable to find any examples of damaged or tweaked towers. I want to run them, but really don't want to damage anything.

For daily spirited driving you should be fine, for track duty you might want to add some extra support. Some of the Z guys have beefed up that fender mount area. Have to search that site as I don't have a link

Thanks for the reply, I have noticed a lot of G owners running the true type. After my woes with my FA oem style, I am very hesitant to go with another oem style coilovers setup. I am between the stance true type, stance oem style or the Tein ss-p which is an oem style. I am hell bent on having a clunk and squeak free ride.

I'd also consider KwV1s, even the budget Tein Basis, they use the OEM hats in front so that's one area where you shouldn't get noise

Like blnewt said, get coilovers that use oem top hats. Don't be discouraged to get oem style setup again because you have bad experience with the lesser known/proven brand.

I went with Stance SS true type coilovers today. I polled a over half a dozen owners that I found through instagram and everyone of them had nothing but good things about the setup. I am sure there are more expensive and better oem style setups, but I figured I would give these a go!

Hopefully you'll be another happy customer, they seem to get good overall reviews so let us know how they work out. Post a review in the review folder when you get some miles on them
