Thinking of upgrade non sport brakes to oem Sport

Hi Everyone,

I'm thinking about upgrading my non sport brakes to oem sport brakes on my 09 g37x coupe

I know i'll need the calipers and rotors

in terms of hardware when people say brake line what are they referring to like will i have to change my entire cars brake lines or are they talking about the little rubber fitting that attaches to each caliper ?

Thank You

Hey fanatic,
When going to the Big brake kit you'll need rotors, calipers, pads, hardware kit (which is the pad clips & pins) and some 17mm banjo bolts to replace the longer banjo bolts that you currently have. You'll also need a spare tire that will clear the big caliper and obviously wheels that have adequate clearance.
I forgot which wheels you ended up with but use these templates on your wheels to be certain they'll clear

Here's a thread I put together if you want to source your own parts, be sure to go to the Update in red, as the rebuilt calipers are almost impossible to find now that the secret is out

That's why I posted that template, there's many wheels that won't clear so it's best to tape this to a piece of cardboard, take off your front wheel and verify for sure

What you do is print template (be sure you're correctly on scale where 1 inch equals 1" on the lower right scale box on the template page, you may need to zoom in or zoom out until your scale is 1")
You then tape the cutout template to a thin piece of cardboard and put it inside the wheel hub bore, you then rotate the template around the inside of the wheel making sure none of the template hits any of the inner wheel area. If it does hit you need to make a note of how much spacing you'll need to allow the template to rotate without hitting anything. It's easy once you get the picture.
