Is this the g35x/37x sedan front hotchkis sway bar

Just recently purchased a sway bar for my x sedan by a forum member, but I wanted to confirm that this is it before I waste time on the install. Can someone who has a x sedan verify that this is the correct shape of the bar?

It sure looks a lot like the bar on the cover of my manual. I hope they personalize the manuals and don't go with a generic image for every different car. I'd say there's a 99.99% chance its the right bar.

Yep, looks just like mine that I bought a few years back. Mine has little Hotchkis emblems etched onto both ends of the bar immediately before the end link holes. Will snap pics, if necessary, when I have the car in the air next week.

Did you get the mounting clamps and bushings with it?

My front bar looked like yours, but it was adjustable in the front and also the rear ('11 AWD sedan). I purchased and installed my set last year. Anyone know if there are there two versions of the bars, or did they update the design to make it adjustable?

I know I got the bushings. I didn't receive the mounting clamps. Are the clamps necessary for installation?

Yes, the new clamps are necessary. Your stock bushing brackets will be too small to fit over the poly bushings included with the kit.

They're adjustable in the sense that there are two holes for the front bar and three holes for the rear bar at either end of the bar for the end links to attach to. The holes further towards the ends of the bar elicit a higher roll center (more body roll) while the holes closer to the inside of the bar elicit a lower roll center (less body roll). I'm pretty sure that these bars have always been adjustable.

Now that I look more closely at this, I can say that the shape is right but it doesn't have 2 separate holes at each end of the bar like my Hotchkis front bar does.

Hotchkis may have updated the design. This picture comes directly from their website and only shows one set of holes on the front bar:

But their description reads "Features: Lightweight Durable 1-3/8 in. (35mm) Tubular Front Bar 2 Way Adjustable"

I don't know what to tell you now.

Yep, that's what I was concerned about - Mike's front bar seems to only have one hole whereas mine and yours have two. Perhaps they updated the deaign.

So yeah, newer versions of the front bar aren't adjustable.

Reference thread: https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...install-5.html

This really isn't the end of the world in my opinion. I've always had my rear bar on the stiffest setting and the front on the softest. Twice when I've tried to run the front bar on the stiffer setting, I busted the end links within a few weeks. This complaint may have been echo'd to Hotchkis causing them to do a redesign.
