I highly doubt the OP has the correct part, regardless of how it looks. According to the hotchkis website, the AWD has a two-way adjustable front bar. I realize the main picture on their site only shows one hole, but on the installation instruction photos, it shows two holes. I ordered mine in August and it's a two hole. The OP bought the bar from an individual, not a reputable distributer. I hope this bar works for the OP, but it's clear to me (unless someone gets confirmation from hotchkis themselves) that the OP was sold the wrong part. Hope it fits though and good luck to the OP!

 

Since it's too early to call Hotchkis, I sent them an email for confirmation. Will report back when I get a response.

 

I suspect that it's the OLDER bar that has only 1 hole on the front bar, not the NEWER one.

The spec was actually changed at some point. Is anyone here suggesting that Hotchkis started with 1 hole, went to 2 holes, then went back to 1 hole? I can confirm that the original design had 1 hole, and that the newer design has 2 holes.

When I was installing mine, I couldn't find a cut-&-dry answer to which set of holes I should use to install the bar. Most of the DIY I found either dealt with a single hole in the front, or would say "stiffest" setting in front, middle setting in rear".

That's all great...but "stiffest" was never defined. It wouldn't matter in the rear as everyone says "middle" , but with regards to the front bar...you either go closest to center, or furthest from center. There was no real resource which clarified this...and the manual doesn't either.

I eventually worked it out.

When I get home, I'll look on my product box. I recall that there's a date of manufacture on there. I want to say my bar was made in 2013 (I'll try to remember to confirm), and it has 2 holes in the front. If you look at older threads, there's only 1 hole.

So in summary, I believe that old bars had 1 hole, new bars have 2 holes...not the other way around.

Thanks guys for all the responses. I will never know ignit was the right bar. I didn't have the mounting brackets. The seller let me return it hassle free and even paid for the return shipping. Can't ask for better customer service. Probably in about a week or 2 I will order the hotchkis 22443 kit. Debating if I want to put my swift spring on and deal with the potholes. The bar that I brought only had one hole btw.

 

When I bought my sway bars in February, only one vendor has stock. There were undetermined lead times from other vendors. I'd start calling and asking who has actual stock now so you know where to go when it's time.

 

To put an end to all of the guessing that we've been doing, me more so than anyone, here's the response I got from Hotchkis. Essentially, the kit for the RWD V36 sedan includes a non-adjustable front bar but the kit for the AWD V36 sedan has the 2-way adjustable bar. Sorry, bigmike. This doesn't mean that the bar won't fit but it more than likely won't work as well as the adjustable AWD front bar.

 

Just ordered the right set for my awd. Tirerack had the best price. 352 shipped. Should be here by Monday.

What holes did you use on the front sway? also what hole on the rear sway...I called Hotchkis and they recomended for netural handling agressive driving...closest hole (stiffist setting) on front and middle hole on rear
