Tein H Tech Springs Quick Review
Tein H Tech Springs Quick Review
What's up everyone? I decided to do a quick review on my newly installed springs. I've had them for one month now and they have completely settled. There is only one other thread on here that is a review of these springs. So I decided to do one too. So let's start. These springs are for someone that wants a good drop but the Tein S techs are just too low. After one month of driving around I have not scraped on anything. When you look at the car it looks like the fenders are sitting right on top of the tire. Only if you look down you can see there is a small gap.
Bought from autoanything.com (authorized tein seller) for $170. 1.5" drop in the front and 1.1" in the rear.
The springs feel great, after getting opinions from all my friends that regularly ride in my car they all agree the ride feels almost like stock just a little more firm. A little more firm in a good way though. You can feel small bumps on the road that you wouldn't feel on the factory springs. But bigger potholes you don't feel as much because the springs are more firm. Not bad for springs though. A lot less body sway around corners when you are going hard. Infiniti did the alignment and told me the front wheels are still in factory spec. The rears are okay but they said camber arms are recommended.
Pictures:
This was the day it was installed. Has gotten lower since then. Can't see the gap when looking at the car from the side anymore
Rear.
Also I am not sure if this person's still on this forum but he has a bunch of pictures of his car on Tein H Techs and a good camera. Check them out for detailed images. IMG_0052.jpg Photo by blackjackg37 | Photobucket

Nice review Nick, moved it to the Suspension folder for easier research.
Looks like a nice drop and seems like you're happy w/ the drive.
Don't know why Tien always understates the true drop of their springs, seems like they all drop at least 1/2" deeper than stated.
At any rate, thanks for posting and if you have some fresh side shots that would be a plus.
