VDC/abs/slip light
VDC/abs/slip light
I brought my car to the dealer last week because the VDC/abs/slip light came on and they top it up with brake fluid and after 2-3 days the light came back. So this morning I had an appointment and they said the car showed so many code that they couldn't tell and would like me to bring the car in when the VDC/abs/slip light comes back on cuz they cant tell whats going on, and would like to do a diagnostic while it shows.
The dealership cleared all the code and said to come back when the vdc/abs/slip light come back again and my warranty on the car is over soon in less than 1500 km.
Anyone of you had encounter such problem??
tks in advance.

Boy I wish I could help, but when that happened to me, adding more brake fluid took care of it. If you haven't already done so, search that problem on this forum and I'm sure you will come up with lots of ideas. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Tks, for the response,
I brought the car to the dealership last week, they top it up with brake fluid and 2-3 day after it came right back, so I made an appointment for today.
I've search around and so far ts the break fluid on most and the sensor.

Aside from the usual suspects in these instances that you already mentioned, I'd have them make sure your battery/charging system is good, and that your brake pedal switch adjustments are all ok. These cars can go slightly insane when voltages are off, and I have personally seen a maladjusted brake pedal switch cause that trio of lights.

here's the update, if anyone is having problem with the vdc light coming back after adding break fluid to their G ask the dealer to check the ASCD main switch, there's 2 of them, that may be the cause of it.
Congrats on getting it fixed anyway.

Any particular driving conditions which triggered this or just a constant on situation? TIA.
It all happen in November, there was no snow on the ground when it first happen, I mostly do highway driving and when it first happen. I was doing 110km which is 68miles and all the light came on, some days the light will come on 10 min after and some day 30min after starting the engine or some days it will come back 2 days after.
They tried to put the blame on the automatic starter that I installed on the car

[QUOTE=vqsmile;3857447]Could it have been two problems though; with the topping off of the brake fluid initially fixing the first cause, and then the remote starter install creating the second (and separate) problem?
When it first happen I thought it was because the tread depth on my summer tires were not even.
posted by GAWD " G37X & its all wheel drive system really should have matching tread depth on all 4 corners. How much tread is on the back tires? So what ever tires you just put up front, go get a pair for the rear. Like soon... Brake light very well could be low brake fluid."
So I went an install my new winter tires but the problem came back lol.
Its been over a week and the Lights never came back
But depressing the pedal is what presses the brake (and triggers those switches).

lol
