KONI yellows for sedan

Hey guys for those who have been wondering whether the koni yellows that are listed for the 370z/g37 coupe will fit our sedans, well the simple answer is........... it does.

Bought a set of Konis from conceptzperformance a few months back. The set was listed in their nissan 370z section but the part number is same for the g37 so i took the risk and got them when my teins were giving me issues with the alignment.

I am located in Singapore and drive a Nissan Skyline 250GT which is basically a 2008 JDM G25(Infiniti wasn't introduce here till very recently). Right now the teins have come off, the konis have gone in and they feel way more fantastic than the old coils. Firm but not harsh.

If you guys are interested in knowing as well, the konis are paired up with rs*r lowering springs on my ride.

What do you have them adjusted to?

I think everyone knows they fit, but that the concern is they raise the front. The only way I could see that happening is if the lower spring perch is mounted upside down.

I can't remember the exact setting my mech. left them but it is very similar to my teins. About the front height being raise, it does happen but by a tad bit. Some would hate it i guess( if they want a really lowered look) but i am more or less fine with how it looks now. To me it isn't that high that makes the car look weirdly etup or anything. I'll try to get pics of the profile view here if it helps buyers considering the konis for their sedans.

What do you mean they raise the front? Are you saying the spring can only compress so far due to the Shock. Does it raise your front end with the Swift springs? Do you have pictures?

I just installed swifts on stock set up and the fronts appear maxed out due to compression there seems to be virtually no front travel due to the drop of the spring. I have an X which is a slightly different drop than non-X.

I realize I want to address this issue because I do like the drop, just not the performance of shocks/struts with that drop.

I didn't say they raised the front

There is speculation, which I didn't observe in my koni install, that they raise up the front. This is likely due to people installing the lower perch upside down, or their OE shocks were worn and sagging already.

My Koni + Swift drop was consistent with the drop people get on Swifts + OE shocks.

I'm pretty sure the X suspension pieces are different and the Koni yellows wont fit.

My apologies, perhaps I interpreted it wrong..

Looks like unfortunately these won't be a solution for me anyway

^^check out the pics of the front shocks. The silver metal lower perch needs put on the shock. If it were to be reversed, it would raise the car.

But yeah, sorry man, maybe coils?
