Well, just like we expected my new taller tires now sit closer to the fender going from the 245/35 to 245/40. I now have a 2 finger gap in the front (as opposed to three) and a 1 and half finger gap in the rear. Still sitting higher in the front but obviously not like before. However, the look of my wheel has now been somewhat degraded because I have too thick of tire on the front (which I knew would happen hence the reason I went with the initial setup) which takes away from the spokes and the clean design of them. I guess different strokes for different folks but if I could do it all over again I'd probably keep the original 245/35 fronts and gone down a size in the rear to 275/30.

Glad your closer, I still think is odd your front is higher tho? My rear is higher a bit, Kinda like the "old muscle car" look
There's no harm in waiting a few days. The only risk is an uneven wear on your tires, but that takes time. From what I've read, the Swifts are similar to OEM and won't really "settle in" the way Eibachs do. But I'm no expert... just a lot of forum reading. Mine are still in their box.
Get an alignment, but don't freak out that it has to be done immediately, and don't put it off for months.

Really , Install them already,
It's become a next-month thing. The meet is tomorrow anyway, so that pressure is off.
Besides, since my mechanic will be doing the installation, this time I had to make sure the (correct) springs were physically in my hands before getting on his schedule.
