2011 G37X Brake pads recommendations?

Hi all....My mechanic told me I need to change my brake pads on my NEXT oil change.

I told him I'll buy it and he can install it.

Can someone recommend me decent brake pads? I'm not looking for anything sporty, I need something that's decent for daily driving and will brake when I need it too.

I came across this,
Wagner ThermoQuiet Brake Pads: Up to $30 Rebate w/ Purchase of Front/Back Brake Sets: Ceramic Sets from $6.50 after $15 rebate & More - Amazon Deals, Coupons and Promos

Are those any good? Or too cheap?

**KEEP IN MIND, my current car has STOCK brake pads, rotors, and calipers.

Check w/ KNSbrakes, they're a good site vendor w/ quality pads and good pricing, mention the site and might get a better price.
The basic street pads would be the Hawk OES and Centric posi-quiet Ceramics. For just a bit more money the Stoptech Street Pads are a good performer w/ better bite but will give you more brake dust.

The brake pads I only use now are "akebono act888 (front) and akebono act905 (rear). These are for the X. Very low break dust and bites very very good.

I have a question I have a 08 G37S RWD and the tire place has a sale on brake maintenance and they offer centric brake pads are those okay? I know they're not the best but centric is a good brand I believe it 301 series

Those are Centric Premium Ceramics, so should be a good choice for a daily driver w/ low dusting.

Thanks also on the bedding in part I have to do it myself after the brake shop does it I remember seeing a post that I have to bed then in by going 45mph and stopping completely something like that? Is that necessary after replacing them

Depends on the pad, most performance pads require bed-in, but check Centrics website for those particular pads. Most bed-ins are similar and involve hard braking from 50-60 mph down to about 10-15 then back up to speed and brake down again for about 6-10 cycles depending on pad. You NEVER bring vehicle to complete stop while applying the brakes, the rotors will be scorching hot and will bake the pads onto the rotors leaving a high point. Once you do the cycles you then run it with minimal braking to cool down, before finally stopping vehicle (and again, don't leave brakes applied at a stop, use the hand brake if necessary).
