Painted my Akebonos!
Some generic high temp primer and 4 coats base and then apply decals followed by 3 coats clear.
Just to jump in since I did my brakes over Christmas- I used the same process as most folks here:
Light sand
2-3 coats of primer
5-6 coats of Brake Paint
3-4 coats of this metallic effect paint
3-4 coats of clear coat.
I found that having a household fan directly on the brakes significantly improved the drying time. I did one brake (front and rear) at a time and got everything done over 2 days.
One more suggestion (and FRChillin did a great job on this) is to make sure you wrap up the rest of the brake nicely. I had a lil overspray on my brake pads and a lil spot on my garage floor.
