Swift Spring Install

Just installed some swift springs for my sedan last night and was wondering how long does it take for them to settle?

5-7 days is typical time to wait for an alignment. Be careful driving until you get it aligned, springs will still settle just fine even if you don't drive it much.

Wait. So after I put on my new wheels and springs, then I need to wait a week before I get an alignment?

I was expecting to get an alignment after the install

It's kind of a general rule to wait several days but YMMV, coilovers don't settle too much, my coils only moved about 1/8" initially and didn't settle any more after a few hours. My springs kept settling a little at a time for the first 4 days and didn't budge after that. I think my springs started about 1/2" higher than where they eventually settled.
If you can safely wait a few days then I would go that route, or if you must get an alignment right away I'd measure your spring height at the fender and if it settles more than 1/4" I'd get the alignment checked again.

Been a week since my install and my back doesn't seem as low as everyone else here I've seen with swift springs. Shouldn't they have settled by now?

Are you on stock wheels? Do you have pictures of drop? The tire profile sometimes makes it look off.

No don't switch to taller sidewalls, you really need to keep your diameter close to OEM size, the 275/30/20s are the proper diameter for that 275 width, going to a 40 or 50 would bring all sorts of issues to your traction control, ABS, and your speedometer would be way off. Post a pic of your whole car for a better reference if you don't mind.

Blnewt is correct. You need to stay with the 275/30/20 as it's close to OEM. Measure with a yard stick from ground to the top of the wheel well. You should be at or around 27" for front and back. If not, you may have had the springs installed incorrectly.
