Will a FSTB eliminate chirp
Will a FSTB eliminate chirp
When I accelerate in corners, I get some tire squeal. Would adding a strut bar improve my traction?
I've got about 2 degrees of camber on my wheels, could that be causing it?
I know the strut bar has minimal impact to AWD, but I've still been thinking about it.
Also, will adding a strut bar increase the jolt I get when I hit a pothole? The Swift springs are a little rough in those instances.

Strut bar has minimal impact on car handling. IMO, it's more for aesthetics than anything else. I have heard (no proof from me) that Infinitis have very stiff chassis anyways and a FTSB has little benefit.
It's far more likely that you need new tires. Theoretically, I think moar camber would make your tires *less* prone to squealing in the turns.

Your description sounds like you are understeering through the corners. A FSTB will help with that just a little bit, but what will make a real difference is stiffer sway bars. It will allow you to adjust the car more toward oversteer or understeer to your preference and greatly increase cornering ability, particularly in entry through apex.
Yes sway bars will definitely increase the jolt of bumps or dips, you are stiffening the connection between the wheels on each end of the axles, what upsets one side will be transferred more to both sides than with OEM sways. But you can carry much more speed through the corners and drastically reduce body roll win changes of direction.

I think you could be right about it being understeer, though I think I've noticed it when accelerating from stand still as well. I'll need to pay more attention to be sure.
Got the sway bars already. Overall, very happy with the combo of Swift springs and Hotchkis sways.
Just wondering if the strut bar will increase jolt in the same way that the sway bars and springs did.

Then there's always the option to just brake sooner before the corner rather than after the car is into it in order to keep it more stable. You'll also be able to get into the thottle sooner on exit.

Black Betty is right in that you should hit the brakes hard and short before entering the corner to get the weight transferred to the front wheels where they will have better grip. Once into the turn, start accelerating to transfer the weight to the rear to keep it planted. If your sways are setup correctly you could also steer with your throttle through the corner which is the fun way to drive. Have fun.
