another thread about Swift Springs and b2 spacers

there's a few posts about this but I thought I'd share my experience

I got the swift springs based on recommendations here, I was just looking to get a bit smaller wheel gap, not super low or stiff.

Springs aren't too stiff, sharp edged bumps on the road definitely make a boom, but generally ok. Car is a bit more tail happy, possibly due to camber, possibly due to stiffer rear springs.

I went with 20mm spacers front and rear. The fronts look like they could use a bit more, but might be due to camber, we'll see if an alignment can fix it. If you are going to install lowering springs DEFINITELY put in spacers, improves the look 100%

I ended up having my mechanic install the springs, took him a bit over 5 hours (proper shop with hoist, compressor, etc)

Drop looks proper Chris, nice job!
5 hrs. labor sounds pretty high, hope the shop didn't charge too much per hour
Took me about 4 hours to DIY including installing the F&R camber arms & elongating the rear toe bolt slot. Did you get the arms & toe bolts? If so, disregard the labor comment

I'm sure you'll like the drive better after getting the alignment set.

I procrastinated getting the alignment done for a month (~5000 miles) and when I went to put on my winter tires I noticed significant wear on the inside of the fronts.
Alignment shop said the toe was well off, but the camber wasn't off enough to worry about it.

So get an alignment done immediately after lowering!

update, pics with camber kit

I ended up getting SPC front and rear camber arms. I wasn't sure if the spacers would still fit after alignment, but they are on, and they are nearly perfect flush

front before spacer

front after spacer

rear before spacer

rear after spacer

hopefully these pics help someone decide if they like the look with or without spacers. Initial reaction is I think 2mm less would be good, but those pics were immediately after lowering the car off the jack, so I suspect it will be settled in 1-2mm after some driving

Looks real good Chris, what were your alignment specs after the SPC kits were installed?

thanks, I'm happy with it, happier still every time I see another g37 at stock ride height

the passenger rear camber had to be set at 1.9 to get the toe in spec, since the toe bolt was seized on that side

My bad, I forgot about your toe bolt issue, looking perfect otherwise.
