Springs void warranty?

Hey Guys, just want to ask your opinions over here. I just recently bought a 2011 G37S Premium Sport Package with about close to 37K right now all stock. I am wanting to lower my car with springs and add also spacers to it to add a Look to it but quite hesistant coz I still have the Factory Basic warranty left for about 2 yrs/22k+ miles. Changing the suspension to it will for sure Void the warranty so im kinda debating if I have to wait till the factory warranty expires or adding now coz I want her to have a good stance and ignore the basic warranty? ... help me out guys and give me some input. Thank you and greatly appreciate it

generally.. changing suspension, exhaust, intakes and other cosmetic things should not void your warranty. If you start messing with the engine.. turbo kits and the like, I'm pretty sure that does.

but giving it a drop with some spacers isn't going to hurt you

^^^... Thanks but will it not void any suspension related warranty to the car after changing the springs if later on I may have some problems? I won't be doing any endine mods since this will be my daily driver.

i'll rephrase.. an aftermarket part won't void your entire warranty.. but should an aftermarket part break, obviously the dealer won't fix that. should you change out the springs, save the stock ones in case you do have issues (a lot of folks here have springs with zero issues).
I've seen plenty of cars at my dealership with lots of aftermarket parts, especially lowered with rims.. never heard of it being a problem.. generally they compliment you on it

if you're still unsure, you can just ask the dealer..

just to add... when i had my 05 G35 sedan i was lowered on coils. i had related suspension noise and dealer before said they couldnt work on it because the car had been modified but eventually ended replacing a part for me through warranty lol.

It's really up to the dealer but realistically any part of a system of the car that's been modified could void the warranty for that system. If you modify the exhaust and some emission related part goes bad they could nullify it since the exhaust has been modified, same w/ suspension. Even though the part may have nothing to do with the modified part they could use it to get out of a warranty claim.

Springs on oem struts tend to shorten the lifespan of the strut and you may need some camber arms & toe kits if you go lower than Eibach (typically). You'll also need an alignment once the springs have settled (about a week). Lowered suspensions also put more stress on the stock end links, and also pretty regular shredding of various parts under the car if you're pretty low like the front lower bumper, plastic engine splash guard, the braided Y-pipe exhaust couplers, and your exhaust tips. But it's all worth it for the look
Total cost if you do the install is about $250 for the springs, $125 for alignment, and if you need camber/toe kits it's about $150 for the rear arm, $60 for the toe bolts and $300 for the front arm. If you pay to have them installed it's a crapshoot, I've seen some as low as a couple hundred bucks all the way up to $600-700, so definitely call around. As far as spacers just be sure to get a name brand and that they're hubcentric. The bolt on ones are a simple install, the ones that use longer studs are a lot more involved since you have to remove the original studs and press the new ones in.
