Help Tanabe drivers strut

Tanabe drivers strut

my front drivers strut is leaking, help! They want $285 for a replacement

Several have leaked. I'm aware of 3 personally, 2 that I installed. Fortunately mine haven't. I don't know of any other recourse but to pay up. They don't rebuild them or even offer you a penny discount of of full retail price for your troubles.

I've had Tanabe products before and I always thought fairly highly of their quality in general. But the coilovers for this application seem to suffer from failures at an alarming rate. And I's a shame becasue they don't seem to really care about it in the slightest.

One day I will sell mine and get something else before they do leak. I've sold my other Tanabe parts and will probably avoid them unless/until they get their act together again. Disappointing...
