Custom BBK Interest

Hey guys, i was inquiring with a person in Japan about getting a custom BBK made for my e38 BMW that I am modified now that the G has been gone for some time. Anyway, he mentioned that a group buy would yield the best pricing so i would like to see how many fellow Gs would be interested in something like this. Please note, this group buy is for at least 12+ kits for ANY vehicles not just a bmw or G.

Here are the options for the kit

"Calipers:
Front: 8, 6, or 4 piston.
Rear: 6, 4, or 2 piston.

We can offer powder coat or candy paint in pretty much any color you chose. Also anodizing, chrome plating, and multicolor are all doable.

Rotors:
Available in one or two piece form. Drilled, slotted, smooth, or drilled and slotted all available. If you go with a two piece you can have the center anodized pretty much any color you want.
Rotor sizes are available from 260mm-505mm.

The kit will then include 4 custom carriers made specifically for your e38, braided steel lines, a set of pads, and all hardware required for a bolt on kit (you wont need to modify anything). One thing they told me to also say is that when you are upgrading to a big system, the the "chambers" in the calipers are larger than the stockones. For example, if before you pushed the petal in 1cm, the pistons would be pushed out 1 cm, with the big brake kit, when you push the petal in 1 cm the piston would only be pushed out .5 cm. The solution to this is a larger master cylinder, but basically, you just have to push the petal a little bit farther for the brakes to engage. Once they do, obviously they stop your car much faster the the original brakes. Anyway, that's kinda a disclaimer.

I doubt the part about the master cylinder not being big enough would not apply to the Gs like it does to the bmw. The G's are obviously more performance oriented

To give everyone an idea of what the rough cost would be this is what my BBK setup is most likely going to be for my e38

"Front kit includes: 298,000 (~$3,200)
- (2x) Brembo F-40/ F-50 4-piston calipers (custom gold finish)
- (2x) 2-piece 355mm slotted "floating" rotors (custom gold finished rotor hats) *come pre- assembled
- (4x) High performance brake pads
- (2x) High performance full stainless steel brake lines
- (2x) Custom BMW e38 billet caliper carriers for a bolt-on application
- (1x) hardware kit (all required hardware will be included).

Rear kit includes:
298,000 (~$3,200)
- (2x) Brembo Modena 4-piston calipers (custom gold finish)
- (2x) 2-piece 355mm slotted "floating" rotors (custom gold finished rotor hats) *come pre- assembled
- (4x) High performance brake pads
- (2x) High performance full stainless steel brake lines
- (2x) Custom BMW e38 billet caliper carriers for a bolt-on application
- (1x) hardware kit (all required hardware will be included).

This is the price for one kit. If we are able to put together an order of ~12 cars I can offer a better price. I am still waiting to hear from our Brembo supplier what rate we can get on a group order. I should have that info tomorrow. I did a good amount of research in the US market the last few days, and I think, considering the quality of our kit, and the fact that it is a bolt on application for whatever car the owner has, the price is very good.
