FYI: Upgraded my rear sway bar with one from Stillen on my Q50S...the only choice for us Q50S AWD.

Similar results so far...a worthy upgrade in my opinion.
Next will be the Tanabe FSTB.

 

My 2010 xs Sedan wanders quite a bit more than my 2004 A4 Quattro with sport suspension at high speeds 80+ with stock awd sways and new end links.Im hoping the sport rear sway bar will correct that after I install it.

 

Betcha plug nickel it's your dampers. They weren't as stiff as BMW from the get go and they have six years of use. Could be time for new shocks. And tires can cause the two-lane tango. And let's not forget those six-year old bushings...

 

I hate to be contrary, but I think you meant Audi and it had 115,000 miles on the original suspension and it didn't wander. I looked at the entire suspension on this G37 up in the air and the only thing bad on it was all 4 original end links were worn out.

What are your toe settings? Toe-out can cause wandering.

 

That I don't know, but It had an alignment not too long ago and has brand new tires and tracks straight.

 

Just swapped my old rear sway with a sway from a Rwd sedan and it feels great. The Rwd sway is sooo much thicker and a little longer. The stock G37x sway Awd is way too skinny and wimpy. Def recommend the upgrade.

 

Where do you buy this Rear Sway Bar for reasonable cost?
I have an X - do you reccomend Ebay? It would seem there would be a lot of these available.

Do you need any other hardware other than the bar?

 

Post a WTB (Want To Buy) thread in the classifieds with the title "Looking for OEM RWD Sway Bar". Many that have upgraded to aftermarket sways will have their OEM parts just collecting dust. I sold my RWD sway to a member here for about $50 IIRC.

I bought a tanabe rear sway not that long ago, going to install it on my journey sedan
hope I feel a difference

 

Would these bushings work as replacements? I've never heard of Moog? Was thinking about getting OEM ones. I purchased the RWD bar off ebay already now looking to install.

Also - as far as dropping the exhaust - how hard is this? I hear it needs to be lowered to fit the sway bar in place?

Those bushings you listed are for the front.

Yes you need to drop the rear section of the exhaust. Not hard at all. If my memory serves me right, I believe I swapped out the rear sway bar with the car still on the ground.

The front sway bar definitely requires the car to be lifted up though.
