G37S - Squeaky brakes and recommended new pads

Hello - I've read on this forum how many people experience sqeaky brakes due to it being cold in the morning as well as the size of the rotor. Apparently this is a design issue with the G37. Aside from sqeaking, how do you know when its time to actually change the pads or resurface the rotors? Is there a warning light or a recommended mileage when this service should be performed?

Thanks!

Anytime you rotate the tires, you should look inside to see how much pad you have left. I think most people get between 15-30K miles, depending on type of driving.

Thanks for the tip. I don't think you're supposed to rotate tires on the G37 though...at least that's what I've been told at the dealership.

I live in the snow belt, so wheels come on/off 2x a year. OE tires can be rotated side to side (even on the S).
