Eibach Settling
Well it's been almost two months since my Eibach Pro Kit install and the car seems finally completely settled. Barely 1 1/2 fingers tire spacing in front and 2 fingers in the rear. I noticed two major things:
1. Man it looks sexy down that low.

2. Rides a little stiffer now then when they were first installed. I hope I'm not getting coil bound. Going to write Eibach and ask questions concerning that.
Otherwise the car handles great, flat cornering, great steering response, and tons of control. Also using Hotchkiss sways which I like. Anyone else notice their lowering springs settle that much?

OP, whats coilbound? I've had Eibach's for 3+ years and drop has been the same.
I have fat fingers so I have no wheel gap at all. ha ha ha!
with stock wheels? yes.

You will have, but very, very minimal.
I have 20" wheels and Eibach. 255/35 and 285/30 tires. I do have some camber wear but very minimal. 3 years, +20K miles and still going.

Simple answer to coil bound is when the spacing of the springs is so small that you have little to no real active spring action while driving. This makes the car feel very harsh on bumps and potholes. It can damage suspension components and or tires and rims.

well if i rmb correctly, the Eibachs are progressive springs - widely spaced at the bottom and very tightly spaced at the top (so tight that it was difficult to find a spring compressor that could handle that)
so, wouldn't coil bound be easily happening with Eibachs? I've noticed that my ride is pretty hard now, too

Progressive bind is not full coil bind. To achieve the coil bind being refererred to above, the entire spring must bind, and yes this is not good if it happens.
Not saying it is or isn't in this case as I don't have Eibachs (or a coupe!) but just hoping to add some clarity to the excellent point made above.
On another note, this is the argument in favor of Swift, and their use of less, thinner coils as this approach results in more compression before bind can occur.

I run 245/285 w no problem and no camber kit lowered on Eibach.
