I want to lower my '12 G37XS.. help and suggestions please!

Hi, Im wanting to lower my 2012 G37XS, im new to all this lowering stuff and dont really know what to go for. If you guys could help me out on letting me know what would be the best way to do this. Im thinking about putting some 20's on my car. What would be the best drop to do with these size rims. I would really appreciate your help!

I would suggest looking/searching through the Suspension sub-forum. There are many options for wheels and more than a few for lowering. You will end up between springs or coilovers and depending on how low you may need camber kits.

Your question is very general and it depends on your budget and your goal.

Like rks mentioned, your question could be covered too many ways. If you're wanting a mild drop w/ a smaller budget then Swift springs seem to work well on the X models. The drop is mild so camber kits may not be req'd, this will save you about $550.

If you want the best drop then coilovers FTW, but will set you back a couple grand plus your camber arm/toe bolt sets.

Don't forget to add the cost of a new alignment too

If you want to go the simple way I would recommend Eibach springs they will lower you ride about and inch and will look real nice with 20... That is the set up I'm currently running on my RWD sedan. Ride is same or better than stock IMO.

The Eibachs sag in the rear on the X sedan and it looks like crap. Swift is the only way to go for an X sedan unless you go for coilovers.

What wheels are those in the video? Look like M56 22's?

I've had both springs and coilovers on my xS.

Eibach was good and the drop was even, I've heard good things about swift as well. For coilovers I went with D2 and am pretty happy with them. No noise at all... I originally purchased BC but was extremely unhappy with their customer service before I even installed them.

I would search the suspension section and do your research before pulling the trigger.

Best of luck
