The one closest to the end of the bar is usually the softer

I have the same lighter steering after I installed the Hotchkis sway also but I don't have an X. The front is on the only setting and the rear is on the softest setting. When driving at highway speeds and turning the steering wheel from left to right, the car feels like the front steering is sloppy. I've never found a solution.

WOW, that sucks. I just got mine today. On my 2001 vette (Z)^ sways) made it feel stiffer.

Hotchkiss sways and GT Spec strut brace

Well I also have the Hotchkiss sways and I found that with the setting in the middle on the rear sway the front end still gave up earlier than the rears. So just like SUPADICE I opted for the firmer setting on the rear and it seem more balanced on my G37S. Things felt pretty good, steering response was very quick, even flatter with the Eibach springs, and I think the steering feels kind of heavy given we have power steering on this car. The power steering is very course in it's operation compared to others I've driven especially the newer electro/pneumatic types.

I then installed a GT Spec strut brace and honestly I didn't think it would do much, but I was wrong. The front end sticks much better but it also seems to transmit more side to side jolts while driving down the road normally. I've tried it again with it off and it was smoother just going down the road and the front end wasn't quite as planted in the corners. Put it back on and the front end had more grip but I also had more road jostling on middle to large irregularities while driving normally. With it on it seemed I could point the car during hard cornering better and then steer with the throttle as well more easily. The jury is still out on the GT Spec brace for me. No more suspension mods until the shocks finally give out.
