Help Springs for 2012 Sedan
Springs for 2012 Sedan
I am trying to decide on new springs to lower my 2012 sedan (non-X). I have been unable to find anything so far that has been designed for the newest model year, but assume that a kit for a 2011 or 2010 should be compatible? I called SWIFT and Eibach and was told that they have not yet put anything out for 2012 models...unknown when/if they will. They would not say for sure if springs for other model years would work since they did not know if Infiniti changed shocks, etc. for 2012. They need to test the new cars first.
Should I just go with a set for a prior year since any changes should be relatively minor? If anyone has already dropped a '12 sedan and is happy with their choice that would be great info!

Subbin to this.
I too have a 2012 Sedan. I want to lower it soon, but I just threw a lot of other mods on it recently, gotta pay off some CC cards first before I go nuts. Im just more curious as to what's the lowest without camber. It appears most drops do about 1.5" max, is that even low? Some cars I see around town look sweeeeet, so maybe its just my perception and I need to understand better.
Congrats on your ride bro!

IMO, that depends on what you mean by "low." 1.5" is a definite drop. In fact, the rear is normally dropped less than that amount to avoid the rear sag. I actually talked with the service dept. at the dealer who has installed quite a few Eibach Prokits. They said that with the moderate Eibach drop, rear camber can be adjusted back to within factory specs, but the front cannot without a kit. They also said that most customers have opted not to install the front camber kit and just deal with slightly less treadlife.
I am looking for some reassurance to proceed with springs for another model year rather than wait for the 2012's...suggestions? I have 19" coupe wheels for my sedan and want to stay conservative with the drop.

hmmm i too have a 2012 sedan, i am subsribed. But the best way to find out if springs made for 2010 or 2011 model fit 2012 is to called dealer and find out if the shock part # has changed. If it has then we have to wait for 2012 springs if not then we are good to go with 2010+ springs.
