Swift-R Springs Installed! PICS!
OK I finally got a response from Swift:
Those are the correct springs. And yes they are linear. The progressive portion of those springs act as a helper spring and they are fully collapsed at static height.
In creating lowering springs the spring would obviously have to be shorter, and then on top of that we have increased the spring rates a significant amount as well. This in turn will make the spring so short that it will play around in the shock, especially going up driveways or speedbumps. To fix this we have this portion of the spring act like a helper spring, just like what you would see on a coilover setup. These springs are a linear spring on the vehicle.
If you have any other questions please let us know, or if you contact us at the number below.
Thank you for purchasing our springs!

Very nice informative email you got from Leonard at swift.
Swift springs i would say is on top of my list for all aftermarket performance springs. I have sold over 50 to the 370z guys and they love it.
I was told and I read that these springs allow you to retain stock shocks. No need to change shocks or get an alignment. They supposedly keep the shocks within specs which is probably why these springs are progressive and is another reason why I went with the Swift Springs.
I measured from ground to fender again today and the drop is now 26 1/2 rear (same) and 27 1/4 front (about 1/8th lower). It's been 9 days

I thought anything more than a 1" drop required a camber kit? have 370z front+rwd rear sport springs on my sedan which gave about a 3/4"drop but ride is kinda harsh on the fronts-i think the 370 springs are about 10k.when i went for alignment the fronts were barely whithin spec.would love to go with swift but would rather not do camber kit if i could get away without it.any thoughts?

Hi guys. i just registered here at the forum and i believe its a ton of information out here for the G enthusiasts.
I got my IPL last month and have been doing research on dropping the ride since the front is way too much high. i have been reading a lot as i dont want to change the struts and just want that mild drop so i would not need a camber kit.
i see a member here has the swift springs on his IPL with 20mm spacers. the pictures look like a neat drop but ive got a couple of questions before i get these.
what part number did you get for the IPL? and what did they cost you..
which spacers did you use.. did u put them on all four wheels?
did you have any camber issues?
where did you get them installed..
apart from this i can get nismo 370z springs and struts at a decent price.. would they fit my g IPL coupe? does anyone know the spring rates and length off a g37 sports, so i can add 20% and 10% front n rear to get the rates for the IPL? and one who has had experience with using 370z nismo springs on the g coupe.. please chime in..
thanks a bunch guys..

Like stated earlier, anything beyond 1inch should probably require rear camber kit. Well at least that is what a local respected shop remarked. I would love to hear any feedback or insight on this issue. Regarding the OEM shocks, numerous people have informed me with a milder drop, replacing shocks is not necessary.

from what i've read on here-yes.my rears were aligned and had some adjustment to spare with the 3/4"drop-i would think with a 1"drop you could still get them into spec.as i stated earlier my fronts were barely within spec at 3/4"(camber is not adj on front) so at a 1.3" drop i would think you would be out of spec.wonder how much it would affect tire wear? the more i think about it the more i want these things-even if i need a front camber kit! keep us posted on your results.
installed swift springs on g37x
I won't be able to comment much about the differnece the spings made but I can say a lot about how they look and handle. I only had my car for 24 hours before the install was done. Look wise the drop was perfect. about an inch all the way around. I will be using a camber kit in the rear but I am going to wait for the springs to settle and see how much an alignment helps first. Handling is amazing. Better than stock. I don't have the best tires and the car still sticks like glue through the turns. I don't feel the bumps anymore than I did when it was stock. Very beefy springs and worth the money. Not a single complaint. And this car is being driven on PA roads which are known for being the worst. I will upload pics shortly.

OK I got my Vossens mounted today and it is AMAZING! It handled better after changing springs and now its a totally different car! I'm gonna wait a few weeks before taking it to get aligned. We shall see how bad off it is but it sure does drive good. Tires will suffer though from poor alignment. Forgot to mention wheel specs (Thanks VossenG37s!) Fronts are 20x9 +32 255/35 rears are 20x10.5 +45 295/30

I got my Sport Springs installed this past weekend. Haven't driven on other springs to compare against, but have been very pleased thus far. Car feels more planted and stable. Could be the larger tires now too.
