Brake Flash While Accelerating
Brake Flash While Accelerating
I have a 09 x AT sedan and I been noticing on hard acceleration (no WOT) my brake indicator will flash (the light for e-brake). I first thought it might be TC but I tested today I was going from 40-60 and I light would flash around 7k rpm, there is no way I would get wheel spin at that speed especially on a awd. So does anyone know what the problem is?
Common problem. Make sure you top the brake fluid off all the way to the max line.
The G's brakefluid sensor is in a position where even a little bit of fluid drain (just from brake pad wear) can cause it to detect low fluid in heavy acceleration.
When I had the problem I read on here that I should check my break fluid and was really skeptical. I was exactly at the middle of the min-max range which is usually where I fill my fluids
.
But, went and bought a small bottle, topped it off and bingo, problem went away.

Im partial to Castrol LMA myself, but I dont think AZ carries it. Pep Boys does if you have one close to you.
Ive also heard good things about Valvoline synth. brake fluid, which I know AZ carries.
