I've been hearing squeaking from the brake whenever I reverse the car, usually its when I reverse it for the first time of the day. I only have ~14k miles. Anybody else have this issue?

 

yeah a lot of people have that issue it sux but its kinda normal, I just clean the brake dust every once in a while...

 

It's completely normal for the brakes to squeak a bit when you drive the car after it's been sitting for awhile. You're hearing rust on the rotor being worn off, etc.

 

I had this problem when my car had 17k mi. There was a recall for early-model '09 that carried over from the '08 models apparently (run out of the '08 parts stock I guess). They replaced my front brakes (all of it: pads, calipers, etc.). Now my car has 44k mi and they are squeaking again but "different" this time. Now is more like rust or dust on my rotors for the first couple seconds of braking in the morning. Before was any time I backed out of my garage and was continuous on the roll back. I believe you are referring to the same sound I am hearing these days...which is normal.
