bc coils dampening?

Just got my bc coils on my 2nd gen x. For those with these coils, what do you guys have your dampers set at? I have mine set right in the middle for both the fronts and rears. However, the rears feel a lot more stiff and thumpy over bumps than the fronts. I figured if the rears are 8k as opposed to 12k (front), they would be a lot more comfortable when set at the same dampening? Any suggestions? Would clicking the rears to the softer side fix this issue?
