hello guys,

Two weeks back i replaced my caliprs/rotors/pads with new Akebono complate kit (Cearmic pads & stopTech drilled/slotted rotos + ss brake lining) . i have g37 journey (non-sport).

From the first drive i slightly feel/hear the noise/shudder when braking at low speeds but the faster i brake down (especially over 50 mph) the noiser it is , even if i touch the brakes at 50+mph this noise/shudder of the car starts (the steering wheel a bit shake).

It's a hard noise to describe but it's very loud and a sort of crunching/scraping noise i think . i went to local shop 4 days back and after checking my car they told me rotors need to be surface ! so i did (only front) , but no change.

The next day i replaced the brake pads with OEM , and also no change , i even did wheel alignment to be sure its not the tires.

I'm pulling my hair out over this , I've wasted enough money on things it isn't.

what else should i do ? shall i surface the rear rotors now?

That means the FRONT rotors need resurfacing.

 

Yes that's right ! I resurfaced the all 4 rotors today and guess what... Problem solved !!
But how new rotors and need surface ?

weird. i thought you said you had already resurfaced the fronts before.

 

Yes I did the front befor , and now all 4 . The first one wasn't good I think, I went to another shop this time .
