are aftermark shocks needed to lower the G37s?

I've only lowered 1 car (my acura tsx a few years ago) and did some research before I lowered my TSX and everyone said I should get coilovers because simply getting lowering springs and driving around will eventually make my shocks pretty much be dead.

But that was a TSX, with the new G37s, will I be safe with just lowering springs or will I need to get new shocks eventually?

nope. most people are o.k. with the standard 1" drop on teins or eibachs.

This topic has been discussed numerous times, please use a search button next time.

Regardless, ANY springs you put on are going to put stress on the shocks, so after 3+ years it will time to replace them.
