G37 Front headlight signals not working
G37 Front headlight signals not working
Hey guys, been searching online for hours now and no find to fix this, my signal on the right side isnt blinking, and then when i flip the switch to “turn right” it blinks fast. I installed new LED signals on both, the left continued to work, although the right kept not working, no wires are broken or anything this just randomly stopped working
Being the left side works and the right side does not, you probably have a bad bulb. Also, LED bulbs are polarity specific. Did you try to rotate the bulb in the socket? And, did you try swapping sides to see if the left works on the right?
"Hyper blinking" is the cars way of saying "bad bulb," in general terms.

Yea, so before i bought new bulbs i swapped the working one to the bad one, didnt work. So I bought new ones for both, still didnt work (just the left side working) ive tried fuses but nothing seems to be broken when i put the fuse up to a flashlight, i dont know what else to do, wires all seem to be fine as i havent touched them
Ok, based on that, if the bulbs are known good and you are still experiencing the "hyper blink," then you have a wiring issue. For the turn signal there are two wires: one power and one ground.
Best advice is to download the factory manual for your specific car/year from NicoClub. For this you will want sections BCS (Body Control System), EXL (Exterior Lighting) and PG (Power & Ground) though I would strongly recommend you take some time and download the whole manual. The site is painully slow at times, but it eventually works. Then, with a multimeter you can test the two wires for the turn signal: ground to frame, and 12V+ from BCM.
As a side note, make sure the actual socket is clean and free from dirt or corrosion and that the "prongs" grasp tightly onto the bulb base. While you are in the area of the BCM (Body Control Module) make sure the area is clean and DRY! Water ingress is a known issue for these cars with the BCM exhibiting some strange, erratic behaviours when it gets wet.
