Not sure why you procrastinated in first tightening a loose battery terminal? That would have been job one.
Second job would have been to replace the battery in your key fob to get rid of the key light.
Third job should have been to test your battery with a battery hydrometer to determine the state of charge of the individual battery cells. Any dead cells could possibly be a cause of the battery light?
Did you ever measure the alternator output voltage across the battery with your multi meter.?
Did you ever check the date codes on your battery to determine the age of the battery?
Was the Alternator ever bench tested prior to replacing it?
It is always preferable to rebuilding a factory OEM alternator that replacing a cheap one usually made in China by a local electrical motor rebuilding shop.
Just asking a few questions and offering my $.02 for some logical electrical troubleshooting.
