I drive a 2011 Infiniti G37 IPL Coupe and recently got my headlights painted and modified with halos installed in them. I live in Canada and unfortunately all Canadian G37 Coupes had a DRL (daytime running light) relay installed in the headlights which does not allow the low beams to toggle on and off independent of the DRLs. This means and at all times, even during the day, my low beams are on and cannot be turned off . This is pretty frustrating because I just want to be able to run my halo DRLs during the day by themselves as intended. The American G37's don't have this issue because the relay was never installed on any of the vehicles.The only way to bypass the relay so my headlights can function properly is to overwrite my BCM (Body Control Module) with an American car's BCM Part #. The BCM Part # can be obtained by going to the Infiniti dealer and the technician plugs in their Consult scan tool machine into the car to retrieve the part number, it's a very quick process. I would need a similar model G37 Coupe for this to work (2010+ G37S or IPL Coupe should be fine). If someone has one of these models and is willing to go to the Infiniti dealer or happens to be getting serviced soon I would greatly appreciate if you could retrieve your BCM Part # for me. I just really want to enjoy my new headlights and have them function correctly.

I'll try to help a fellow Canadian.

My 2011 G37 Sport Sedan is a US model and does not have daytime running lights.
The BCM part number as shown in NDS III is 284B2-1NC5B

However, on parts.infinitiusa.com is doesn't list 284B2-1NC5B, but does list: 284B1-1NC5B

According to the "What this fits" list on:
https://parts.infinitiusa.com/p/INFI...4B1-1NC5B.html
all US model 2009 to 2011 G37 use the same BCM, the 284B1-1NC5B

Hi, I have a 08 G37 6MT
Usually the DRL would turn on once I released the “hand brake” (E-brake)….I had a few electric issues and end up replacing the BCM with a brand new from Infiniti, but now they aren’t turning on, I know I had and still have 1 bulb that’s not working(driver side), but before replacing the BCM, the passenger side was working even with the bulb from the other side burned.
I got a obd2 scanner from autel, so I don’t get ripped off by mechanics, and while “exploring” the options I found one for headlamp mode, and currently is at mode 4, didn’t tried anything cuz I don’t want to make matters worst.
any tips or advice on what it could be would be appreciated

 

You might want to put back the old BCM module and read/view/save the configuration.
Then put in the new BCM and set the configuration to be the same.

Can you tell me all the BCM options you see?
