Front doors won’t close/open

I randomly got this issue in my G. I haven’t crashed into anything, and nothing has happened to my car. I got in today, and noticed my door wouldn’t close. What I mean by that is I pulled it closed and could push it back open again without pulling the handle. When my girlfriend hopped in the passenger side I noticed that door made a hard sound when closing. So I start driving. I had to hold my door closed, and a few minutes down the road the ‘door open’ warning came up on the dash for the passenger side. So I tell her to hold it shut and the next turn it flies open a little bit. At a stoplight I noticed there was a little bit of play in my door. I could push it without pulling the handle a little bit, and then it would lock so the door wouldn’t open completely. So I drive home and the passenger door opens and closes up, mine does not open. Pretty confused as to what is going on, I’ve never experienced this on a car and I didn’t do anything to my car recently.

If anyone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Are the windows automatically lowering about an inch when you open the door? When you open the door they should lower by themselves and then automatically raise back up after you close the door.

have you washed your car recently/temperature very cold? this happens intermittently to me once or so per year (and usually after a wash when the weather drops cold fast). with the door open, i lock all the doors and then try to shut it again. This will usually latch the door when its slammed, but will also keep the door from opening until you can get the car/door warmed up. I have boiled it down to some condensation in the door/latch area that holds open/or closed the latch and will be that way until the car is brought in and warmed up (it took an overnight in a mech shop last year to fix it)

I've had this happen because of this in this car and in a previous car, if OP is lucky it's just a recent car wash.

I did experience all this after washing my car and a temp drop. Although my passenger door still has a hard knock whenever it closes/opens. I’ll try greasing em up.
