Broke one of my headlights - just the cover. Thanks to some good advice on here I'm looking used headlights. Found one that has a broken tab (top middle one along the front and one missing guide pin. My broken one should be good on those, only the glass is cracked. I just haven't removed it yet. It appears from looking at the diagram that the tab can be replaced. But that the guide pin is part of the back housing. Are those both correct?

I suppose I could use the info on this forum to switch out the clear plastic cover. But before I do that, how much of a difference in the installation of the light does that tab and guide pin make?

Can't really answer your question but I'm wondering if you could use sugru to form your own tab and guide pin?
