Busted G37 headlamp assembly
Busted G37 headlamp assembly
Some bad weather passed through my area a few days ago and blew down a dead limb onto my 2010 G37, busting out the windshield and driver side headlamp. Replacing the windshield was no problem, but finding a replacement headlamp is turning out to be a hassle. I spoke to a couple Nissan and Infiniti dealers near me and they said a new OEM headlamp runs around $1200. Searching online, RockAuto's regular inventory headlamps are a much more reasonable $582. It doesn't seem like there are a whole lot of options for replacements and I'm not looking to replace both since the passenger one is fine.
Does anyone have any advice on what the best option to take here is? I'll probably be going with RockAuto but I'd like input from anyone else that's had to replace theirs.
This is mainly in the interest of saving money since my insurance isn't able to cover the headlamp.

Everything is out of pocket. To make it short, I just got this car about a month ago after someone totaled my last one, the settlement is taking longer than it should have and I haven't been able to put down the $1000 deductible on the insurance for this car. I estimated the price of repair would be less than $1000, so I'm just doing it myself.
I did a little digging around on ebay and found a place selling them for $299 for Black Friday. I should look on ebay more often.
