I've got a 2011 G37xS sedan and I have installed the Morimoto Fog lamps. I am interested in turning them into DRL. It is easily done by tapping into an ignition source under the hood, but what here is where I need help. I want them on anytime the car is running, but be able to turn it off and control it via the stock switch. If anyone has any ideas shoot them over. I am more than technically inclined and very knowledgeable of 12V setups.

 

I am thinking of just supplying the Fog Lamp fuse ignition power and hope the switch will continue to control it. Without schematics it hard to know without trying where in the circuit the switch resides.

2011 G37 Sedan FSM

You will need section EXL (Exterior Lighting) and BCS (Body Control System) though I recommend downloading the whole FSM. It comes in handy.

This was an easy trick with the 5th Gen Maxima, involving bypass connections at the fuse box. I've always wanted to do the same to the G.
