Water Leak Above Tweeter

Anyone ever have this problem? Anytime it rains, even light rain, water comes out of this gap in the weather stripping and runs down my tweeter onto the side of the door and pools on the floor... This is happening both on passenger and driver side. I am 100% sure it's coming from the area I highlighted and only in that area; as I have seen it bead out of that gap at least 50 times now while driving in the rain, parked in the rain, etc.

I've messed around with the weatherstripping and everything seems to be in place, no rips or holes. I have tried pushing it in more and adjusting it, but no change. Anyone know of how I can fix this without replacing the expensive weather stripping ($150 per)....

Please, any advice is welcome, my car smells due to the moisture and my carpets are always wet.. Car is a 2013 G37x 2 door. Thank you in advance anyone who takes the time to read this. I have looked online and have seen other people with the exact same problem, but they did not say how they fixed it.

I know about the sun roof drain, it's not the sun roof drain. I can watch the water bead out of the gap in my picture, both on the driver and passenger side, every single time it rains. It's coming out of the weather stripping...

Why don’t you grab a hose and put water in that area and see if it is going through and if it is then it needs to be replaced. The area you have circled mine would seep water in if I’m using a power washer and directly point it towards it, but it doesn’t leak when it rains. Or maybe the plastic trim on the side mirror the top portion isn’t closing tight enough and maybe it might be the weather seal on that.

I have tested this a few weeks ago. I put a hose and it did leak through sometimes and sometimes it didn't. It's random.. I don't understand.

Whenever I wash my car, it goes through the area I circled 100%. When it rains, only sometimes the water comes out of there. I watch the water come out of there when I drive, not leaking anywhere else.

What I don't understand is why it's coming out. Sometimes I will park my car in the rain, while at work and when I return a few hours later my floor is wet, other times, same parking spot and same type of rain and it's not wet.

I guess I will just have to replace the seal, but that is around $150 per seal with no guarantee it will fix it. The design on this weatherstripping is horrible, whoever came up with it is an idiot. I'm trying to figure out a way now of how to fix the leaking without buying a new seal. I may try gluing with silicone before I replace it.

I have a 2010 g37 convertible and exactly the same happens to me, it's really a headache, I have to take the carpet out because the smell to clean it,clean the water drain because was dirt,I prove it with the top down, put some water in the water drain and it's runs great ,I think I fix it, then I close the roof, proceed to wash the car to put back in the carpet and it's wet again, later rain about an hour and the lagoon turns more big,I don't know what to do please help

Wow I'm so glad I decided to check today of all days. So I get a leak but it only seems to happen or I notice it when I'm going through a car wash. Im not entirely sure if it's happening during heavy rain...I imagine it can't be good for the tweeter to have water come in...almost looks like water is coming out of it lol

Go to the car wash again and see if it's coming out of the stripping I showed in my original post. Seems a lot of people have this problem. I managed to tape it up with electrical tape and the leak has stopped, but that is not a permanent solution and I refuse to buy the poorly designed weather stripping replacement for $150.
