Hey all,
Do you know if its possible to fix an LED that is not working? I have one LED on my right hand brake/tail light that is out.

 

To my knowledge you will need to replace the entire tail light or cut open your tail, replace the LED by cutting it out and re-soldering in a new one, then plastic weld the unit back together. Sedan, correct? Which side?

 

Sedan=yes; right hand side.

 

Replacement used tail lights can be bought on ebay for $50

 

Yeah it's a sealed unit. I have a spare rear light if you are interested - although I have to check if it's a right side light.

 

Are all 2nd gen tail lights the same? Mine is a 2011, most of the lights seem to be from 2008 and 2009 G37's. Will those fit/look right?

 

There the same; what matters is sedan or coupe and USDM or JDM. I have a spare passenger side if that's the side you need. Would happily swap for yours. I have a back burnered project for them that doesn't require the LEDs, as long as the housing is fine and the lens is cosmetically okay. I work in Roswell. Let me know.

 

Mine is the passenger side, so I don't think that'll work. But...thanks for the offer.
