Bulb suggestions

Looking for some bulb recommendations from RockAuto....... what do you guys think?

Wagner vs. Philips vs. HELLA brand. For some reason Philips is 2.5X the cost - is it worth it???

When it comes to HID bulbs there are tons of opinions on which specific bulb is better/worse and why/why not, etc. The biggest specification between HID bulbs is the temperature (laymens terms: color) measured in Kelvin.

It is just a matter of researching and deciding which spec suits your taste and needs. I switched to Philips Ultinon 6000K in my G about 4 years ago and have not had one issue. For certain things I prefer name/quality branding but in the end it is up to your preference.

And, yes, there is only one (1) bulb needed for each side.

The OEM bulbs are:
Type: D2S, 12Volt-35Watt
Temperature: 4300K
P/N: 26297-89900
Cost: $150/ea. from dealer.

Referencing the rockauto link, the Philips D2S or D2SC1 should do you well. I would recommend replacing both sides at the same time.

If you wanted a whiter light you could go up to 5500-6000K (anything higher and you get more blue/purple tinting to the light output).

Thanks. I know i can trust Philips. But I'm trying to avoid paying $50 each if the other brands are just as good. From what i read Wagner and Hella are also companies under Philips and all three are made in Germany??? If true all should be high quality yeah???

I do not know who manufactures the bulbs for each brand. Could be the same but I just do not know.

In the end it is all up to individual preferences and budgets. Just follow your instincts.
