Trunk won't lock

I have a 2013 G37 Infinity sedan. The trunk will not lock. It opens fine. It closes fine.

The problem
When I shut car off the red light on dash flashes- indicating the trunk is not locked.
When I get out and use remote to lock car. doors lock but not trunk.
I have turned on and off the Trunk release power cancel switch in the glove box.
The only way I can lock it now is my shutting off the Power CAncel Switch in glove box- other wise my truck will not LOCK!

Any feed back is appreciated.

Do you have a 2nd Key Fob? If so, by chance is it in the trunk of your car? Also check to see if that "Pull This" handle thing that in most trunks now that you'd pull if for some reason someone shut you up inside your trunk, as is could be hooked onto something that's pulling on it.

Other than that I haven't a clue.

I do NOT have a second key.
I did fiddle with the handle and thought that was it.
I pulled it multiple times since, thinking the same thing. I will again try today.
Thank you for your response

I'm not sure, but if there's any adjustability in the latch, it might just need to be adjusted.

Issue Solved.
I had the key in my pocket the whole time. The truck acts like the driver and passenger door. They automatically open when you are near the car. This feature is a great feature when you have your hands full. I did not know about the feature until you mentioned---second key.

I locked car walked 20 yard away and left my key and came back to car----truck was locked. I believe it was always locking.
Thanks for your response
