Water dripping on BCM

Whenever it rains I get water that comes in through the battery compartment and drips on the BCM. My passenger window has stopped working but that's it so it may just be the window motor but all the connectors on the BCM were wet. That can't be good. How do I keep the water from coming in?

Leave it in the garage when it rains

Welxome. Sorry you're having trouble. What does the B in BCM stand for?

If it is the body control module near the passenger footwell the issue is likely the sunroof drain that clogs where it passes through the firewall. Do a search for sunroof drain and it should help you find the water issue.

Sunroof drain? Never even occurred to me that could be involved.
Thanks

Search for a thread called 'Passenger side dashboard leak'. It's generally the sunroof drain as mentioned or perhaps the main wiring harness grommet where it passes through the firewall.

So I've been procrastinating on fixing this passenger side water problem. Normal rain doesn't seem to bother it too much, but a heavy downpour will soak the carpet and the floor mat pretty badly (and goes right in the body channel to the rear floor mat). However, I was cleaning around the house this weekend and kept hearing a car alarm going off (sunny day, but getting colder around here). It was mine. The lights were not flashing, but the horn was going. I ran over to the key bowl near my door and hit unlock on the fob, and it took 4 tries but the alarm quit. Does this sound like water and electricity having a party together in my BCM? I really like this car, but this is really annoying, and the fact that there's no fix from Nissan is disturbing. I'm betting more and more cars will start having issues. I expect cars to reach the end of their useful life in New England for things like body rust, oil leaks on high mileage engines and stuff. But blowing expensive computers because of a ten-cent grommet design is really disappointing. I always tell people to go with Infiniti because real-wheel drive, no CVT's, lovely sounding engines, and though usually outdated, reliable electronics. Guess I'm eating crow now. (and the qx50 has a CVT now??)

The wet bcm

There are videos on YouTube there are saying there is a factory bad design in the sunroof drain tube and it will cause the water to come in on your floor
