Redline Goods shifter boots

I’ll be ordering from redline good was wondering what size you guys selected? I’ll be also getting the TMW short shifter. The redline website list different sizes to shorten the boot.

Thank you.

The stock boot will look bunched up against the shorter shifter. The TWM is listed as .5" height reduction. I believe Redline has an option to specify the reduction. I can't remember if I did .5" or 1" shorter.

I don't think a 1/2" height reduction makes any kind of appreciable difference in how the boot sits. I mean, it sits differently, sure, but I just question whether it matters.

My Redline boot was standard size, and for the few weeks it was low in the trim with a TWM shifter, that seemed far less an issue to me than the lowered ****. Bring the **** back up, and all is right with the world.

Are you still running that extension?

Good point, **** selection is going to be a consideration when determining boot height. I'm running the 370 ****, which is basically the same height as OEM.

I went with -1" and have a TWM STS. As always Rochester has a good point, the height will be driven off of the shifter ****. Here's my setup for reference.

Yep. I had it made for that reason, and it's worked out perfectly.

I wanted the precision feel, and shorter throw, of the STS, but I did not want it lowered in the boot.

Thanks guys I ended up going with .5” shorter. I purchased the LatheWerks titanium sphere ****.

Do you guys think I’ll run into any fitment issues?

I might have to have the same made for me that looks nice and appropriate for shifter height. How much did it run you?

Calg37USMC - I believe I did .5 inch shorter on my shift boot from them. I remember them suggesting if the STS is .5 inch shorter then match that with the new boot. I have the same shift **** too and really like it. It does sit really low. I've been contemplating getting the piston version with the same finish. Another member here had the SS piston **** along with TWM STS and had it custom made to where the threading wasn't as deep and sat higher up. Let me know what you think about the height and how it feels. FYI the light gray thread matches the factory stitching color almost perfect with black interior.

Thanks for the info man! I ended up getting purple stitching hopefully it looks nice lol. I also was looking at the piston **** but wanted the weight to be heavier guess I could of went with the SS option though.
