the cable is pinched same exact thing happen to me after installing long tube intakes on reinstalling front end the cable some how got pinched. What i did to fix this was take off all the clips and 10mm bolts inside engine bay by the hood latches and slightly adjusted where the cable was

Thank you rrrellik. I ended up dropping it off at Infiniti (there now) due to not only that particular issue, but also the clutch began making a popping noise just before releasing it, (turned out to be a spring that needed lubrication), but now Sewell Infiniti wpuld like to replace the whole foot pedal assembly under my extended warranty... A blue screen when I shift my car into reverse (they can't figure that 1 out), diagnostics show nothing wrong, sunroof making a sort of winding noise when opening/closing. A bit disappointed with the service to say the least. Rear $80.00 bushing leaking in cross member (why the heck would you place a fluid filled bushing there)? The whole cross member suspension has to be replaced and car aligned ($3k job for a freaking $80 bushing). I love the car however, I think I'll be going back to BMW after this one...

The rear bushing was not designed to be changed but it can be. Z1 offers a kit with all three rear bushings and a tool to pull the center bushing. It's a PITA but a damned sight cheaper than the cross-member.

Is that Sewell of Houston?

It' actually Sewell Infiniti of Fort Worth. It' warrantied, after fighting my extended warranty company, due to it being part of the structural frame, to whuch they do not cover.. just extremely frustrating along w all these other ridiculous issues. The blue screen in reverse is really frustrating too, bc although I've provided photos (per their request with any issues in the future I may have), it' not good enough due to their diagnostics showing no problems. It' quite evident there is an issue...good to know about that kit though. I wasnt offereed any solutions regarding the bushing. Thank you.

Hi Surfnazi.

I most likely will need assistance . No luck on Sewell being able to replicate the blue screen, while car is shifted into reverse, and there is a 100 diagnostic charge for that particular issue..

check this out for the rear differential bushing: https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...-bushings.html
Regarding the rear view camera problem (reverse blue screen) is related to the camera control module located in the trunk area. It may be a loose connector.
