Power folding side mirrors

I really wish the G had power folding side mirrors esp when pulling into my garage. Has anyone put power folding mirrors on their G? Weird how the Maxima has had them for years but not the G.

Yeah that's dumb. The vert has power folding mirrors and cooled seats but they're not an option on the coupe... 2 things I wish I had.

honestly its just more things that can go wrong with the car. i bought the car to haul *** and have fun doing it. i see the power folding mirror as just an nuisance. but thats just my opinion and i know some people are fickle about having the fancy smancy gadgets and widgets attached to a car.

I love the car and I could care less about lane warnings and automatic braking or parking but the power folding mirrors would be nice for when I'm pulling into my garage. The G37 mirrors are a lot bigger than the G35 mirrors so it gets tight when I'm pulling into my garage. And I barely ever use the heated seats bc I run on the hot side but the cooled seats would be nice. Oh well. Just doesn't make sense that they put these in the vert but not the coupe. Are there any other options the vert has that the coupe doesn't?

I'd also like to have the power folding mirrors and cooled seats in my coupe!

Since the vert has power folding mirrors which probably fit on the coupe, how hard could it be to put them on the coupe? Would have to get the vert door sill which has the button on it but would there be additional wiring to do than from mirror to button? No one has done this?

It has been done by a few members, myself included. Here's the DIY thread pioneered by forum member Modme:

Overall the project is not difficult. Running the crossover wires can be tedious because of the tight working spaces.

Working in the industry, it is amazing how things are decided as far as equipment offerings on vehicle. Some really oddball decision-making out there.

I kinda wish I had power retractable mirrors too, it's a luxury feature fitting of Infiniti and a handy thing in parking lots so people don't knock them when walking by. I always try to park away from vehicles anyway. I wonder if you get a higher top-end with the mirrors folded in?? ;-)

Yeah there must be some odd decision making out there. I find it odd that the maxima came with power folding mirrors and a heated steering wheel over 10 years ago but only the vert G comes with power folding mirrors and no G has a heated steering wheel. And the maxima came with a cooled driver seat starting in 09 but only the automatic verts have that feature. The G costs more than the maxima but is missing some of its features. Weird decision making.
