Any suggestions for wiring?
Mine are 80mm, don't know about the rest.

I like this...I plan on doing similar in my 08 but may paint the projector a silver color to cut down on the chrome. Everything else is getting blacked out.

Alright guys, I have my order ready to place, I think I'm going to do it myself. This is my order list.

So currently, as I'm in Canada, my DRL consist of low beam, city light, and turn signal all on, with the latter 2 as amber. My low beam setting is identical. My auto-night setting is identical but with fog lights on.

The plan is:

DRL: just 2 halos on, white. Possibly demon eye set to white or ice blue as well.

Low beam: turn signal to white (switchback LEDs), and HID on. Halos on? If not overpowered.

Night mode: City light (white) on, turn signal (white) on, HID on, fog lights on. Possibly halos if not overpowered.

Turn signal: 2 switchback halos on, amber, flashing. Turn signal light amber, flashing. Condition same regardless of setting.

Housing: Delete side reflector, matte/satin black paint for housing, keep projector shroud chrome. Is the "cap" on the turn signal and the cover on the city lights amber? I can't remember off the top of my head.

Eventual additions: HID and fog lights converted to 6000K to match remaining lighting.

How does this sound guys?

OK guys, what year sedan headlights would fit mine? I think I might buy a new set and mess around with those to retain value on my car. 2010 to '13 will fit?

I'd search around for here for other headlight threads if you're going to DIY. I remember something about a particular area that should be left chrome as it tended to bubble up if painted. I found a bit about it here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...hread-663.html

Good luck!

Here are some others to help and I also just completed this task, last weekend.

In addition, yes the chrome housing portion that is in front of the projector housing is known for bubbling up despite what finish is on it. i.e. mine was bubbled up completely OEM and untouched, but then again im in Florida which can equivalent to being next to the sun at times.

Ah darn. So the bubbling is inevitable? I was going to leave that little ribbed chrome bit alone anyways. I live in Canada btw, if that helps. Would it be worth it to put ceramic tints or something of that sort that doesn't darken the lens but reduces heat flowing into the lens?

Re: bubbling can anyone confirm the paint they used? Wondering if high heat stuff would work better. I planned on using that with mine because of sun/engine heat but never thought once abt that projector making a laser beam

As far as the switch, I will attach a diagram that shows how mine is wired. You'll see the orange wire.. that is the wire that came with my Switchback Driver that you will splice into your turn signal. Not all Driver or Inverter comes with the Switchback function. You have to have halo's specifically for the switchback function, as well as the driver for it.
I run my halos at night obviously with my headlights on and the halos are noticeable just not as much as when I'm running as DRL. I currently have morimoto xsb halos are those morimotos

Ricio1991, Yes, these are Morimoto's XSB's that are installed in my headlights.

If you leave those spots in front of the projectors untouched then you shouldn't have an issues. My car is 8 years old and the chrome on the headlights still looks brand new, and I'm out in the desert in SoCal where its Sunny 330 days a year.

Thanks, man! Much appreciated! It's basically a dummy projector... so a real projector lens, but without the projector housing. I'm using the OEM fitment V3 Triton switchback LED bulbs. So the inner "projectors" light up with my main headlights but flash amber when the turn-signals (or hazards) are used.
